ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY:
The American Saltwater Guides Association (ASGA) is the voice of conservation for private recreational anglers, for-hire captains and fishing-related business owners.
ASGA started only six years ago with a small group of individuals who decided it was time for a change. Driven by the ethos of "Better Business Through Conservation," ASGA advocates for healthy marine resources to drive a robust economy. ASGA bases all positions on the best available science, using risk-averse management decisions to prioritize a healthy resource.
ASGA fills a critical void in the industry by providing a voice for conservation-minded fishermen nationwide, utilizing a core methodology of "Science, Education & Advocacy." This coalition of forward-thinking guides, business owners, and like-minded anglers has become a leader on management fronts for striped bass, false albacore, and redfish, as well as federal fisheries and data collection methodology.
ASGA is one community that believes in the value of fish in the water and intuitively understands that ocean resources are finite and need to be managed sustainably to better our lives and for future generations.
